Mario Leano is a healthcare professional in the Philippines who explores trends, new practices and laws that goes along with nursing field. His focus is on incorporating creative media into nursing realm so the world could have a better understanding on how challenging it is to be in the medical field.
After several years of nursing practice, Mario also has an extensive knowledge of healthcare from a different perspective as part of his career is being an analyst in a health insurance company where he worked for over nine years.
Mario finds pleasure when he plays the guitar and reminiscing the songs from the late 90s and early 2000s when his interest in music started. He also enjoys taking a walk around the city and take photographs of establishments, structure and other symbolic items that he thinks has a story behind it and shares it on social media.
Making a journal about important life events brings a sense of accomplishment for Mario, as a Communications and Media student, this practice enhances skills as a good story teller and his creativity.
Aside from being a student, He is also a Personal Support Worker for a Non-Profit organization in Canada which is a good way of maintaining the alignment with healthcare and taking all the learning to tell a good story about healthcare through media.
